Promasidor Nigeria has relaunched “Harness Your Dream”, a career guidance and mentoring programme designed to help junior secondary school students make informed career and lifestyle choices. The event took place on Thursday, 9th October 2025, at the Oshodi Local Government Secretariat, Lagos.

The event, which stands as a testament to Promasidor’s unwavering commitment to advancing education in Nigeria, attracted several dignitaries, including the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, represented by Mrs. Anike Adekanye, former Tutor General and Permanent Secretary of Education District II, the Chairman, Isolo Local Council Development Area, Otunba Adebayo Olasoju, representative of the Director, Lagos State Agency for Mass Education, Mr. Ibrahim Mustapha, and Chief of Staff to the Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Mr. Leke Banjoko.

Also in attendance were members of Promasidor’s team: Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Francois Gillet;   Human Resources and Corporate Services Director, Mrs. Efeguom Oriero; Head, Regulatory and Government Affairs, Dr. Chinenyem Obasi-Obonga; the Corporate Affairs team, and educators from the Lagos State Education District VI.

In his welcome address, Mr. Gillet expressed appreciation to all guests and reiterated Promasidor’s belief in education as a catalyst for social and economic progress. He noted that the company’s commitment extends beyond its brands to impactful educational and agricultural initiatives such as Cowbellpedia and Ikun Milk Day.

Delivering the goodwill message on behalf of the First Lady, Mrs. Adekanye commended Promasidor for sustaining an initiative that supports the Lagos State Government’s vision for youth empowerment and educational excellence. “This initiative aligns perfectly with Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s vision, anchored on education, empowerment, and a brighter future for every child in Lagos State,” she said.

Similarly, Dr. Obasi-Obonga highlighted the programme’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and the Lagos State THEMES+ Agenda on Education and Technology. “We are here to motivate, mentor, and inspire our young leaders to make smart career decisions,” she remarked.

In his address, Otunba Olasoju shared his personal journey and urged the students not to let their background or circumstances limit their aspirations. He emphasized that with determination and hard work, no dream is too big or too small to achieve.

The event, hosted by Isabella Adediji, was highly engaging. Students interacted actively with facilitators who shared inspiring personal stories centered on perseverance, purpose, and ambition. Promasidor Nigeria staff, Mr. Olabisi Ajeyomi (Head, Sales and Operations Planning), Mrs. Arike Nwachukwu (National Key Account Manager), and Mr. Chukwunonso Udeh (Performance and People Services Specialist), provided career mentoring and counselling, encouraging the students to “keep the big picture in mind” as they plan their futures.

The mentoring sessions were further enriched by external facilitators, Dr. Nimi Ekere, Consultant Family Physician and Child & Adolescent Advocate, and Dr. Adaora Obiagwu, Consultant Community and Public Health Expert, who offered valuable insights from their respective fields.

The event concluded with a Question-and-Answer session where the students went home with fabulous prizes.
