The usual quiet and laidback Saturday morning mood in Tamale was disrupted as over 740 passionate cyclists cycled in unison from the Jubilee Park to the Central Market, Sakasaka Road, Agric Traffic Light, Aliu Mahama Stadium, Lamashegu Roundabout, Tamale Teaching Hospital and back to the Jubilee Park as part of the Cowbell Bike Caravan.
The Cowbell Bike Caravan is fun and non-competitive race held annually in Tamale to raise awareness on healthy living, wellness, environmental sustainability and cleanliness, and reward deserving cyclists who collected empty sachets of Twisco and Cowbell.
The 20-km journey was made up of a diverse cross-section of riders: women, men, boys and girls, including the 46-year-old cyclist, Abdallah Natogmah, and 5-year-old, Dut Islam.
The riders were energized and hydrated throughout the 20-km course by Twisco Chocolate drink paired with the creamy goodness of Cowbell milk.
