From 17-19 October, Onga embarked on a three-day  food drive, offering free cooked food to over 3 000 less privileged people in Freetown and its environs in commemoration of 2024 World Food Day.

Over the three days, the event covered six strategic locations. Mr. Amidu Renner, the Country Marketing Lead, elaborated on this year’s World Food Day theme, “Right to Food for a Better Life and a Better Future.” He explained that Onga’s initiative to provide cooked food to the less privileged was a way to show appreciation to customers, as Onga has been a favourite of many. He further emphasized that the aim was to feed those who can barely afford a meal, with disabled people being among the key beneficiaries of this initiative.
