Lekma 2 Primary School Wins GH¢100,000 in Twisco “Sachet to Treasure” Challenge in Ghana

Promasidor Ghana rewarded outstanding schools and students in the maiden edition of the “Sachet to Treasure Schools Challenge”, the collection of used Twisco sachets to promote environmental sustainability among selected schools in Greater Accra. Lekma 2 Primary School was adjudged the overall winner with Lekma 5 Junior High School and Omanjor M/A 3 School bagging the first runner-up and second runner-up positions respectively.

The competition, implemented in partnership with the Ghana Education Service, began with 82 basic schools across the Greater Accra Region with the top 50 schools advancing to the second phase of the challenge.

The initiative forms part of the company’s commitment to tackling plastic waste while educating young people about environmental responsibility under Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 3 – Good health and Well Being; Goal 6 – Clean Water & Sanitation; Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production.

The award ceremony soon transformed into an unforgettable Fun Fair, where over 2,500 students gathered for lively games and stage performances, with lots to drink from Twisco. Twisco indeed powered the dreams of students in the Greater Accra Region.
