Promasidor Nigeria commemorated International Women’s Day (IWD) with a vibrant and impactful event that celebrated the invaluable contributions of its women, alongside marking a key milestone: the official launch of the PNG Women’s Network. The initiative is designed to foster connection, support, and professional growth among women across the organisation.

The event opened with inspiring remarks from the Human Resources and Corporate Services Director, Efeguom Oriero, followed by a goodwill message from the Managing Director, Francois Gillet, both of whom reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to building an inclusive environment where women can thrive and lead.

A highlight of the event was an engaging session by the guest speaker, a leader in the Human Resources space, Ivie Temitayo-Ibitoye, who spoke on the importance of leveraging community and relationships as key drivers of growth. The session emphasised how intentional collaboration and strong networks can unlock both personal and collective success. Building on this, the Marketing Director, Adebola Williams, spoke on this year’s theme, “Give to Gain”, highlighting it as a powerful reminder that growth thrives on generosity, through sharing knowledge, offering support, and lifting others.

The Chief Technical Officer, Brighton Ochieng, also lent his voice and support to the theme and women, respectively, acknowledging their ability to impact, transform and empower when they give. The launch of the PNG Women Network signalled a new chapter, positioning it as a platform for meaningful engagement, development, and empowerment.

The celebration also featured interactive activities, including games, speed mentoring and bonding, and a vibrant fashion parade, creating an opportunity for connection and camaraderie. The event concluded on a high note with music, dancing, and the recognition of the best-dressed participants, rounding off a day that successfully blended purpose with celebration while strengthening community within Promasidor Nigeria.
