As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, PromoMOMS brought warmth, courage, and inspiration to Promasidor Ghana with a powerful session dubbed “Every Story Is Unique, Every Journey Matters.”
Guest speaker from Marie Stopes, Erica Awuraafoge set the tone with an engaging presentation on early detection, regular self-checks, and emotional wellbeing. Her words reminded everyone that awareness and timely action can truly save lives.
The audience was deeply moved by the testimony of Madam Miriam Anane, a breast cancer survivor, whose story of faith, resilience, and hope touched every heart in the room. Her story epitomizes how even in the toughest of battles and times, victory is possible.
Adding a medical touch, Dr. Stella from St. Katharine’s Hospital shared expert advice on preventive care, screening, and maintaining breast health, encouraging participants to prioritize regular checkups and self-awareness.
The atmosphere was filled with emotion, sisterhood and the beautiful reflection of the PromoMOMS spirit: women uplifting one another, spreading awareness, and choosing strength over fear.
