Promasidor Nigeria joined the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development, the Commercial Dairy Ranchers Association of Nigeria (CODARAN), and other key stakeholders on June 1, 2026, to commemorate World Milk Day at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja.
The event, themed “Celebrating Women Dairy Farmers – Promoting Fresh Milk Consumption for a Healthy Nation,” brought together government officials, industry leaders, development partners, and dairy sector stakeholders to discuss the future of dairy development in Nigeria.
The Honourable Minister of Livestock Development, Alhaji Idi Mukhtar Maiha, commended Promasidor Nigeria for its significant investments in local dairy development, particularly the Ikun Dairy Farm project, describing it as a strong example of private sector commitment to the growth and transformation of Nigeria’s dairy industry.
The Chief Executive Officer, Francois Gillet, in his goodwill message, reaffirmed Promasidor’s commitment to advancing Nigeria’s dairy sector through sustainable local production and investments, highlighting the impact of the Ikun Dairy Farm (IDF) in Ekiti State.
Our Chief Technical Officer, Brighton Ochieng, also participated in a panel session, sharing insights on the importance of innovation, modern dairy management practices, improved genetics, and technology-driven solutions, including the use of artificial intelligence to enhance productivity and build a more competitive dairy industry.
The event also featured the unveiling of the National Dairy Roadmap, reinforcing collective efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s dairy value chain and improve local milk production across the country.
Attendees were treated to both wet and dry delightful samples of Loya Milk.
