School bells and sirens had barely finished ringing when excitement swept the compounds of basic schools in Kumasi. Thousands of pupils gathered with bright smiles and eager anticipation as Ghana’s leading dairy brand, Cowbell, transformed an ordinary school day into a memorable celebration of nutrition, health and learning.
To commemorate World Milk Day 2026, Cowbell embarked on a large-scale outreach across the Ashanti Region, serving nutritious breakfast meals to more than 10,000 students from selected basic schools in Kumasi. The initiative, held under the theme “The Role of Women in Dairy and Nourishment,” reinforced the brand’s longstanding commitment to child nutrition and community well-being.
From T.I. Ahmadiyya Basic School to Afaus Lovely School, Best Brain International School and others, the atmosphere was filled with energy as students enjoyed wholesome breakfast servings designed to kick-start their day and support healthy growth.
While the breakfast distribution was the highlight for many pupils, the day’s activities extended far beyond nutrition. Health professionals and educators engaged students in interactive sessions focused on healthy eating habits, personal wellness and the importance of balanced nutrition in academic performance and overall development.
